This course is designed to enhance the knowledge, tactics, and operational effectiveness of law enforcement officers involved in the apprehension of violent offenders, regardless of assignment or agency size. THIS COURSE IS DESIGNED FOR INDIVIDUALS CURRENTLY ASSIGNED TO SWAT TEAMS OR FOR OFFICERS WHO HAVE AN INTEREST IN BECOMING A PART OF A SWAT TEAM. OFFICERS WHO ATTEND THIS COURSE WILL RECEIVE INSTRUCTION FROM SEASONED SWAT PERSONNEL. ADDITIONALLY THEY WILL RECEIVE WIDESPREAD EXPOSURE TO TACTICAL TEAM PHILOSOPHIES AS WELL AS FUNDAMENTAL PRINCIPLES, TACTICS AND TECHNIQUES THAT ARE USED BY TODAY’S MOST ADVANCED TEAMS. THIS COURSE WILL ALSO ASSIST OFFICERS’ INTEGRATION INTO THEIR HOME TEAMS.
