MICHAEL AMBROSIO

Michael AmbrosioLead Instructor & President, 201TACSolutions, LLC 201TacSolutions, LLC is led by Michael Ambrosio, President and Lead Instructor, who brings more than 27 years of law enforcement experience to the company’s training programs. Michael currently serves as a Detective with the Greensboro Police Department, where he has been assigned to the Violent Criminal Apprehension Team since 2011. He also serves on the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation Fugitive and Missing Person Task Force and the Federal Bureau of Investigation Safe Streets Task Force. Michael holds an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Law Enforcement Technology and has earned the North Carolina Advanced Law Enforcement Certificate through the North Carolina Criminal Justice Education and Training Standards Commission. Throughout his career, Michael has completed more than 3,000 hours of specialized training in areas including Vehicle CQB, High-Risk Warrant Service, Cellular Analysis Survey Team training, Cell Phone and Social Media Records Analysis, Fugitive Operations, and tactical driving techniques. His extensive operational experience includes assignments as a Patrol Officer, Criminal Investigator, SWAT Operator, K9 Handler, Gang Unit Detective, and Fugitive Investigator. Michael has been recognized by his agency for both his operational work and instructional contributions, including being awarded the Medal of Valor in 2023. He is a certified North Carolina General Law Enforcement Instructor and Specialized Driving Instructor, with certifications in Precision Immobilization Technique (P.I.T.), Mobile Roadblock instruction, and program development. He also serves as the lead instructor for Building Search and High-Risk Vehicle Stops for his agency’s academy and in-service training programs. In addition to his instructional responsibilities, Michael has contributed to agency policy nd directive development in areas including equipment selection, police pursuit driving techniques, vehicle-based arrest tactics, fugitive operations, and weapon-light implementation. In 2013, Michael founded 201TacSolutions, LLC with the mission of sharing proven field-tested tactics and operational knowledge with law enforcement professionals nationwide. His goal was to assist agencies in developing effective fugitive apprehension units while providing practical, experience-based training that officers can apply immediately in the field. Michael’s current assignments continue to provide him with advanced training and daily operational experience in fugitive apprehension, small-team tactics, and cellular and social media exploitation—bringing current, real-world expertise directly into every course he teaches.
